Thanksgiving
It's hard to believe Thanksgiving has already come and gone. We chose not to travel this year but to stay home and make days worth of food. I made dressing from scratch for the first time, and I am a convert. It was so much better than the boxed stuff. I used this recipe here http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/cornbread-dressing-6/print/ and put it into 4 smaller pans, two of which I froze. I also made rolls from scratch, but didn't feel like they got a good rise, probably because it was so cold when we made them. Tommy had no complaints though.

Come Christians, Join to Sing
Come, Christians, join to sing
Alleluia! Amen!
Loud praise to Christ our King;
Alleluia! Amen!
Let all, with heart and voice,
Before His throne rejoice;
Praise is His gracious choice.
Alleluia! Amen!
Loud praise to Christ our King;
Alleluia! Amen!
Let all, with heart and voice,
Before His throne rejoice;
Praise is His gracious choice.
Alleluia! Amen!
Come, lift your hearts on
high,
Alleluia! Amen!
Let praises fill the sky;
Alleluia! Amen!
He is our Guide and Friend;
To us He'll condescend;
His love shall never end.
Alleluia! Amen!
Alleluia! Amen!
Let praises fill the sky;
Alleluia! Amen!
He is our Guide and Friend;
To us He'll condescend;
His love shall never end.
Alleluia! Amen!
Praise yet our Christ again,
Alleluia! Amen!
Life shall not end the strain;
Alleluia! Amen!
On heaven's blissful shore,
His goodness we'll adore,
Singing forevermore,
"Alleluia! Amen!"
Alleluia! Amen!
Life shall not end the strain;
Alleluia! Amen!
On heaven's blissful shore,
His goodness we'll adore,
Singing forevermore,
"Alleluia! Amen!"

Eli: 5-7 months
Time sure flies doesn't it? This poor little blog isn't getting much attention these days because this sweet boy gets it instead.
Eli is army crawling and pushes up on his hands and tip-toes. He is absolutely in love with his brother Daniel, and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual. Eli loves to eat baby food and drink from his sippy cup. Most days he takes 2-3 naps and sleeps 10-12 hours at night, usually waking once to nurse.
I have several quilty things to show, including a couple recently finished quilts, and one top and a few older finishes that still have not made it to the blog. This week is packed with errands to get us ready for our vacation to Sea World this weekend to celebrate Daniel's 5th birthday!
