We proudly welcomed our second son, Eli Marvin, into the world on Monday, January 7 at 6:05am.
He was 8lbs 13ozs and 22 inches at birth.
We chose Eli as his first name because in the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel, Eli was the priest who blessed Hannah when she was barren.
His middle name Marvin is a family name, my father's middle name and my grandfather's first name.
Big brother Daniel is excited and already enjoys holding brother and looking out for him.
He has a nice amount of blonde hair, but we'll have to wait a little longer to see for sure what color his eyes will be.
I hope to write out his birth story soon. It was not what I expected, and almost certainly more trying than his brother's birth. But of course all that fades when you get to embrace what God has been knitting together for months and what you've been praying for for years!
