Happy 4th Birthday Daniel!

Daniel's birthday started with Tommy taking him to get donuts! The lady at the local donut shop is a little overzealous and gives tons of free donuts!

Then once home, he got to open his presents from mom and dad. Puzzles were a big hit this year.

He also got a backpack to take into big church with us on Sunday mornings. Now that he is 4, he will be sitting in service with us.

That evening we went to a local church for a Seeds Family Worship concert. Daniel didn't know what to make of it at first, but he warmed up quickly when he saw his friend Olivia dancing.

On Saturday we had a party with his friends at a local park. Daniel requested a Spiderman cake! I did the white icing, and Tommy did the rest!

We had a simple lunch and enjoyed our time with friends.

It has been so nice having my cousin close by at DBU. We have gotten to see alot of Kaitlin and her boyfriend Jesse over the last month.

Daniel was very excited to open his presents! I think we're about to have a hot wheel recruit. We probably have close to 100 cars, and I think not all of them will make the cut!

Daniel also loved this Cars sticker book!

Happy Birthday Daniel! We love you and we thank God for bringing you to our family!

Chasing the Light

We discovered that light reflects off my ruler when I work on projects during the day.

Right now Midnite is curled up on the couch with a pillow under her head. Daniel keeps her busy!

Growing Boy

Daniel talks more and more these days. Tommy and I wonder if he's trying to say anything in particular or just learning how to make new sounds. Either way we love to hear him.


This video pretty much summarizes our day, but there's usually alot more throwing.

We left our camera in San Antonio last weekend, but we'll be back next weekend. Until then you'll have to make due with these videos.

Mobile

Daniel is very mobile now.



Just before I shot this video, he had climbed up into the carseat, leaned in, and rocked it forward. He got up laughing, but I couldn't get him to do it again.

Accomplishments

Daniel has had a busy few weeks. So many new accomplishments in just a short time.

He can now:
feed himself cheerios
drink from a sippy cup himself
sit up by himself
cruise around the ottoman (only counterclockwise)
and crawl!

Avacado

Today was Daniel's first try at Avacado. He kept opening his mouth and eating despite the shocked look he gave at every bite. We'll see what it does to his diapers!

Thankful (Part 1)

After a long day of being at work with me, Daniel was ready to let loose and spend some time with his daddy.

Hiccups

There was a time when Daniel would get hiccups everyday in my belly. I would try to figure out how he was positioned based on where I felt them. Now that he's out he still gets them!
